What we do with your data
Offcut Bin (Brazil, contact [email protected]) is the controller of the personal data described here. This notice follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the GDPR.
What we collect
- Emails you send us: your address, name if you give it, and what you write.
- Technical logs: our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes IP address, browser type, requested page and time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We don't run advertising trackers or analytics profiles on these pages, and we don't sell or rent personal data.
Why, and on what legal basis
- Answering your emails and handling requests: legitimate interest and, where relevant, performance of a contract (LGPD art. 7, IX and V; GDPR art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).
- Keeping the site available and safe: legitimate interest.
- Keeping records the law requires, such as purchase records if a paid product exists: legal obligation.
Cookies
The editorial pages don't set advertising cookies. Our provider may set strictly necessary technical cookies for security and performance. You can block cookies in your browser; the notes will still be readable.
How long we keep it
Emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Technical logs: according to the provider's retention, usually days to weeks. Records required by law: for the period the law sets.
Sharing and transfers
Data is shared only with service providers who help run the site and email (hosting, delivery, email inbox), under their own data-protection terms. Some of them process data outside Brazil; such transfers rely on the safeguards the LGPD and GDPR allow.
Your rights
You can ask to confirm whether we hold your data, access it, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy, and withdraw consent where consent was the basis. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to Brazil's data authority (ANPD) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
The site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
